As you know, I have a soft spot for retro garments, so it’s no surprise I fell in love the retro charm of Strikdet designs. I mean, just look at those cute sailor bubbles! Or those tender little hearts! I also love that most of the patterns are unisex, which means I can indulge in my knitting compulsion even though Hubby and I don’t want to know if Junior is gonna be a boy or a girl (…okay, I also have to actually get pregnant. Details, details…). I’m still debating which pattern to try first, but I’ll be sure to keep you posted!

I might get some Strikdet 100% organic cotton yarn while I’m at it. I haven’t tried it yet, but judging by the pictures I’d say it knits very nicely, don’t you think? Granted, the colour palette is somewhat limited, but the soft, muted shades really speak to me. Which one is your favourite?
